    Cigarette Smoke

The innocuously tiny cigarette kills about 440,000 people in America each year. To make it more horrifying, it is said that one-fifth of all American deaths are due to smoking. Cigarette smoking can cause various kinds of cancers, emphysema, cardiovascular disorders, and finally death. In fact, 30% of all cancer deaths are directly associated with cigarette smoking. Cigarette smoking also increases chances of heart attacks. A person who has already had a heart attack may have the second one faster if smoking continues.

They are depositing about one to 1 ? pounds of tar into their lungs yearly. Benzene is known to cause cancer. It is also used as a solvent in dyes and fuel. And this is all found in a cigarette.
